The National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI)’s Executive Director and Senior Economist Leonard Herk just released the last Q3 2020 Quarterly Economics Briefing which discusses how COVID-19 has affected employment.

What is encouraging is that manufacturing is not a major contributor to the employment gap nationally, only certain states, and job loss figures suggest that they have begun to adapt to the new pandemic environment. With employment levels likely to take months or even years to restore, with some jobs not coming back at all, it’s good to know that manufacturing for the most part remains steady in these uncertain times.
